Capturing Eadweard was my final project at uni, where I challenged myself to make something I'd normally never consider. Inspired by the visual style of the Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children book series, I collaged 1920s photographs together to create a short film about a boy trapped inside a moment caught on camera. The film was then displayed and viewed through a Thornton Pickard Junior Special (the 1920s camera.)
This is probably my favourite project to date, allowing me to have another go at cut out animation (which I hadn't attempted since college) and sparking my interest in collecting old cameras.
