One Big Update!

Wow! I have been so bad at this whole blogging thing. Burnout, am I right?
Since I last posted, I finished Invisible Kitties and shared it on my Instagram art account (https://www.instagram.com/reel/DVY9O76AtrL/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==) if you're interested! And then... full of unearned confidence... I sent the animation to Yu Yoyo (the author) herself! But here's the good bit... she liked it, we spoke, and now follows me, which I will never stop bragging about. But don't worry, I won't let it go to my head. And if you want to see more of how I made Invisible Kitties, I will be sharing more of the process and my early sketches/storyboarding when I get a chance.
My twin (Lauren) and I also turned 23 in March! We had an Awards Night themed "party" at the pub, black tie dress code required, and one of my friends got so drunk he tried to eat a paper straw! Then we went back to our flat, drank plenty more, and played a game with our friends to see who knew us best. In this game, we made a big list of (kinda crazy) things that Lauren and I had done, then everyone had to guess which of us it was. And my friends did surprisingly badly because, and I quote, "If this was Amy we would've heard about it before." Wrong. But the winner? Obviously my boyfriend, because I see him all the time and genuinely can't shut up.
I've also played way too much Stardew Valley, discovered a switch game that's basically Nintendogs, went to see Del Water Gap (my fav musician) play live, and worked way too hard. So hard that I managed to sprain my wrist, and now need physiotherapy with potentially 3-6 months for full recovery! But I don't need that hand for art, so honestly... what's the big deal?
I know I said a big update, but that about sums up the last couple of months and why I'm not really making much art lately.
